Can RM Marketplace and XFRM coexist?

Does the installation of RM Marketplace then override the XFRM? Or can I have a "Shop" and the XFRM separately?

It only adds the selling features to XFRM.
You can configure selling ability per category.

So it doesn't override :)

The question is: does RM Marketplace be a separate nav Tab or does one sacrifice the XFRM for it? Can I have a "Shop" (like you use here) and a "Resources" nav Tab and are both independent from each other (even when RM Marketplace settles on the XFRM System)?

Here we just have decided to rename everything from resource to product and display shop but that our choice.

As I said our add-on is just an addition that modifies the behavior of the Resource Manager in categories you want it to.
It doesn't create an independent tab of any sort.

For that you may consider using the multiple resource managers add-on from ThemeHouse but I dunno if it works with my add-on.

Okay thanks for the tip, I didn't know that such a thing exists.

The reason I ask is that I want to have free resources like PDF documents in the resource manager and a separate "Shop". It makes no sense to let users navigate into a shop to then get stuff for free. But I want to sell merchandise in the shop, so both don't mix very well.

Yeah I understand, you still can do a first step with the resources categories.

But perhaps the better way for you is to go to the resources managers add-on I pointed out which is free and give it a try with RM MArketplace to see how it fits.

Unfortunately it is not supported anymore... and that's too risky...

Better would be, you make a STANDALONE version of the RM Marketplace, call it "PRO" and sell it for 100.- USD. ;)

For sure for sure :)

But we are not planning on developing huge products right now that the xF2 beta is somewhere near.
