definitely looking forward to purchasing and installing this, but your warnings have me a little nervous. i don't have a test install right now, just my production site. so i might have to wait until it's out of beta :(
@Fredxd so it's two months later... no one will release an addon like this that is as good as this one! is there any chance this addon will be released for xf2 anytime soon?
sorry to be that guy, but i couldn't find it anywhere else... will there be an xf2 version? i love this addon on my forums and we're upgrading soon, so i'd hate to be without it!
seems to work for accounts that don't have the information already filled, but not ones that already have location info. if it's a feature coming up in xf 2, it's not a huge deal, i can wait until then. i'm definitely enjoying the addon in the meantime!
sorry to trudge up an old thread, but would it be possible to enable geoip update even if the field is already filled in?
i run a travel website that tries to facilitate meetups in real life. if locations were updated on every login, everyone would know when someone is close to them and...
ah.... i had mine set to 'top'. setting it to 'right sidebar' like you instructed makes it appear like i wanted (avatar to the left). thank you for the help!
i noticed this a while back, but i haven't had time to report it until now. seems like after an update to the UI.X Dark theme by themehouse, the XFA extended cover addon is appearing strangely on user profiles:
the cover is going across the page so the avatar is appearing below instead of...
hmm okay, doing the rebuild seems to have solved that error. interestingly, i'm no longer getting the error from nobita's addon after the rebuild as well. so thank you!
Hey guys, I'm having an issue with extended cover 4.2.9, where i am unable to create categories in bob's article management system without getting an error message. the same error occurs when creating categories in nobita's groups addon. currently the only solution is to disable extended cover...
Is this the same error?

yeah, it's about 3 out of the last 10 users to sign up that have correctly had their locations plotted. does chrome ask permissions for this during registration? maybe they're just hitting the deny button?
i ran the cron job, and i'm not seeing any new locations being filled in on our latest registered users.
the 'show position on map' is set to default for new users.
the geoip detection seems to be a bit random? i'm looking at the list of the last 50 users to register for my site and only...
i've been using this addon for a few weeks and it started out great, but i've noticed that the location fields for new users have not been filling in with geoip like they used to. basically for the past two weeks or more, no users have been getting locations via this plugin.
thing is i don't...
Hey guys, I came across something that I thought was a bug with Xon's User Profile - Profile Tabs addon, where the featured threads tab on user's profiles from Brogan's CTA Portal addon was getting swapped with the XFA Member's Map tab. The discussion (with screen shots) are available here...
apologies if this is already implemented, but it would be great to have this addon attempt to update the user's location field of their profile on each login, so it's always updated :)
if it's an issue of consent or permissions, i'd say users can just hit the 'block' button when google asks if...
