Suggestion Form of Credential username in PayPal API

All of the images with credentials in the PayPal API are obscured. It would help me if they were described as type, length, etc. so I could perhaps find input errors in the setup of Core for use with Forum Sales.
In particular the username field is often encrypted and seen as a random appearing string. In our setup that is failing to connect with PayPal it is an email address which I suspect was a user error in the setup.
A description would have saved me a couple of hours today if that is true.
This instance of the addon is running on https://mb.nawcc.org. I may have made a mistake in offering the possibility that this could be fixed by tomorrow.

Hi,

I am very sorry I thought I had answered... but the message never went out.

I am not sure to understand what exactly is going wrong.
Did you take the NVP/SOAP API credentials from the paypal site ?

Yes, I did. This was what the staff put in originally, which generated the connection error. Because of that I generated another set
.

Here is a screenshot from the PayPal site. The documentation in your Core addon does not have these labels. I used the app name for username and the two encrypted values in the order they have in the list. That gave the same connection error so I swapped those values and tried again.

Is it possible there is some other communication problem that is causing the error display? If you have the time, I would be happy to set up an admin account for you to use on our site,

I removed the images as they contain stuff you shouldn't disclose publicly.

The configuration elements does not look like what would be expected.
Especially the last screenshot was showing webhook stuff which is not where we would expect configuration.

Are you sure you went to the page succession I listed in my pm ?

An admin account wouldn't help much if the paypal elements are incorrect upfront unfortunately.

Plus I would not see the issue just with an admin account, maybe with an ftp account/admin account.

May I show you what I am seeing if I post in our DM?

I have developer credentials for the PayPal Account. I am not the PayPal account owner. The NAWCC is a U.S. not-for-profit corporation and the account must be "owned" by an Officer/Employee of the organization.

We are using low exposure small value sales for testing and not using the sandbox because of some urgency about getting this task done. It was started in 5/2024
