For me with default style it works well when TH nodes is installed.
Have you checked that the style does not also add a specific parameter to disable icons ?

Nope. Also, can you check the choosing icon scroll down. It's really annoying.

Cool. How about scrolling down the menu when choosing a icons?

Sure, I really do suspect a configuration problem, I didn't recall we had TH nodes install here but in fact we do and as you can see icons show properly.
