As you may have seen, we have just rolled-out some changes on our Xen Factory website.
First and foremost, we have been updating the forum to XenForo 2.3.
We pushed away this upgrade for quite some time but we felt, with the upcoming release (hopefully) of XenForo 2.4, that it was highly time to do that upgrade.
In the mean time, we have been updating all our installed add-ons to the latest versions and in particular our Marketplace add-on.
This upgrade allowed us to install our cart plugin for Marketplace, such providing you with an enhanced shopping experience on our website.
We did not change the style we use on the website as we wanted to keep some consistency and still loved it.
But, now let's go through the various changes we introduced while performing that upgrade.
Navigation change
For quite a long time, I had been wanting to make the website look a bit more professional and a bit less looking like just a forum.
So we changed a bit the navigation bar:

The navigation is now split over 6 areas:
- Home: the landing page.
- Updates: the latest news about the website as well as the new products, fresh feature or maintenance update release notifications.
- Pre-sales Questions: the location to ask for questions related to our products and services before purchasing.
- Support: the place to ask for help about our products.
- Shop: obviously, the place to purchase our products.
- Custom developments: if you have an idea you would like us to work on, this is the place.
Home
To make the website look more professional, the most important change is the introduction of a new landing home page showcasing the benefits of using Xen Factory products and services.

Updates
The updates page is a link towards the previous announcements forum which we merged with the add-ons announcements forum and changed to article type as it felt more accurate.
To visually distinguish the various announcements type, we created some visuals allowing a quick idea of the potential content.

Support
The support area is a set of forums, one per resource, similarly to how it was before.
However, one major change is that we are now using our RM resource forum add-on, which automates the creation process and has the advantage of showing the support forum as a tab in the shop.

For other areas, the changes are mainly content re-ordering, we will let you discover it by yourselves.
We really hope you will like this update as much as we do, feel free to comment or report any issues you might encounter.
The Xen Factory staff.
