Not works in 2.2.15, I have selected category in the addon options and the category is not hidden

You mean its resources are not hidden or the category itself is not hidden ?

The addon does not hide the category, just hide the resources from the subcategories from the category resources list

The name of the addon is Exclude category from resources index and as for my understanding it says to hide the category.
Consider changing the addon name

I don't think I'll consider that for a free add-on.
There is a title and a description, the description is pretty clear about that.
