Pending answer Parent-Child Resource System Issues

Hi, I’m an administrator on a website running the latest version of RM Marketplace and we’re having issues with the parent–child resource system. When creating a child resource, the parent resource dropdown only lists resources owned by the user setting it up, but we need to link child resources from one seller to parent resources from another seller, as we sell add-ons for products from different sellers. In testing, I linked two of my own resources as a parent and child, but noticed that anyone could still buy the child without owning the parent, which defeats the purpose. In previous versions we tested, if a user didn’t own the parent, it would just display “No permission,” but ideally it should say “You need to own [Parent Resource] to buy this” with a link to the parent resource. I haven't seen anyone here reporting it, so I’m wondering if this is a configuration issue or a bug in the current version.

Hi,

Indeed you can only create child resources for resources that you own, that's as design but feel free to request a change.

Regarding the child purchase it can only be done if the parent has been purchased, I had tested it and it was working, could you please show me your configuration for both resources ?

And also what your users see as purchasers ?

Hi Clément, for the child resource purchase issue, I was able to get it working properly after some restarts and configuration adjustments. As for the design, how would I go about requesting a change?
