Suggestion Sell Resource Bundles

Not sure what the best way to implement this would be, but I'd love to have something that allows selling bundles of resources

Hum what do you mean exactly ?
You mean like a resource that when bought would give license for a set of resources already available as a single purchase ?

Yes, basically allowing users to purchase multiple resources at once, similar to adding items to a shopping cart. It's a quicker way to add multiple items without having to visit each resource page separately. Also some users don’t always notice the cart button, so this makes it more intuitive

I don't know the how and where, but definitely don't make it as a resource in resource list lol, I was thinking somewhere here displayed in some way idk

Maybe the add-to cartis not visibile enough as it's an icon ?
Could make it "Add to cart" text to make it more visible ?

For the bundle, if I was to make it I am not sure I would put it there, the place is already cluttered.
I was thinking in the menu like child resources but that would make it even less visible.

Based on how my users interact with it, I'd say around 60-70% use the cart option, while the rest buy individually. So as for the icon, I actually like it. I mean It depends on how it'll look with text, but if you’re considering transfoming it into text, having an option to choose between the icon or text would be great

Yeah that was my idea, I wouldn't change without making it optional.

I'll to think as to where to place the bundles if I come to implement it at some point.

The idea of a bundle is to offer a discounted price, so here are 2 ideas I had in mind:
  1. When a user clicks the buy button on a resource, a modal pops up saying something like: "This is part of a bundle! Want to grab the full set?" (Optionally, it could also show a quick price comparison between standalone vs. bundle pricing.)

    OR

  2. On the checkout page, if a user adds resources that match a bundle, a highlighted box suggests upgrading. Example: "You're buying X & Y—Get Z too & save 15%!"

So based on these ideas, the bundle system works behind the scenes, it's not somethhing visible like a button or icon for users. But sellers would define bundle sets in the dashboard, and the addon checks for them during checkout, so it's merely technical

Do you think a resource could be part of multiple bundles ?

If the answer is yes, how should the "This is part of a bundle! Want to grab the full set?" behave in the checkout form ?

Also when using the cart how should it behave try to display a bundle where both resources are ? If yes to the initial question, what should be done ?
If no bundle found containing both, search for bundles containing each of them, then what should be done ?

Hmm I think yeah resources should be allowed to exist in more than one bundle, and to thandle any overlap we (sellers) could assign a default bundle for each resource

In the seller dashboard, there could be a simple setting like:
"If this resource is part of multiple bundles, prioritize this one as the default suggestion"

Then, when a buyer clicks "Buy" or reaches the checkout, the addon would check:
  1. Is this resource part of multiple bundles?
  2. If yes, show the default bundle first
  3. If no default is set, fall back to one of the following:
    • The bundle with the most overlap (resources already in cart)
    • Or the bundle with the highest discount

Real Example (My Use Case):
Gamemode Bundle

  • Gamemode Core
  • Gamemode Aim Train
  • Gamemode FFA
  • Gamemode Gun Game
  • Gamemode Battle Royale
  • Recoil Tracker (Exists in 2)
    30% discount
Anti-Cheat Bundle
  • Anti No Recoil
  • Recoil Tracker (Exists in 2)
  • 10% discount
Siege Weapon Bundle
  • Remote Siege Tower
  • Remote Catapult
    15% discount

and in Action:
  • Clicking Recoil Tracker → show Gamemode Bundle (as default), with maybe a small link to Anti-Cheat Bundle
  • Adding Catapult → suggest completing the Siege Weapon Bundle
  • Cart has Core + Gun Game + FFA → suggest finishing the Gamemode Bundle
  • Cart has Aim Train + Recoil Tracker → suggest Gamemode Bundle, unless Anti-Cheat is marked as default
  • Adding Anti No Recoil → suggest Anti-Cheat Bundle

As for where in the ui the bundle suggestion should be, right on the checkout page above or below the item list, somewhere clearly visible but not intrusive

So after the user clicks “Checkout” and sees all their items, the addon checks for matching bundles and, if relevant, shows something like:
“These items are part of the Gamemode Bundle – add the missing items and save 30%!”

Then maybe a button like:
“View Bundle” or “Add Remaining Items”

That way, users see it right before confirming payment

But I can see how that might get a bit too complex, so I’ll leave it up to you to go with whatever approach you think works best. Whether it’s something simple or more in-depth, as long as it captures the idea, I’m good with it
