The addon just doesn't work!
I know not much about coding but the only thing I see that is broken is the node_edit_macros admin template.
I ended up changing the macro name to macro id and it fixed the admin template.
Now I have the background url option in my nodes options now.
But it still doesn't display any background.

It looks like the jquery is not defined in the backstrech js
