Hello!

I recently purchased your add-on for a new XF site I'm configuring through XF's cloud service. However, after realizing that I need to set up PayPal by adding the PPConfiguration.php file to the internal_data folder, I'm unable to do that and I have already contacted their support team unwilling to provide access. Per their response,
Server access is not available for Cloud subscriptions.

The add-on author will need to update the code to allow the add-on to be installed and configured from within the ACP.

Is it possible to get this ability in the ACP and if so, would it be possible to get a quick turnaround? Otherwise, the only alternative is if I migrate away from XF Cloud to a public cloud that I maintain but I'm not in the position to do so yet.

Thanks,

Denzil

If the source code is on GitHub/GitLab, I'd be happy to contribute this feature as well if this would help expedite this solution.

Hello,

Sorry I read and forgot to answer…

I would have to put it in options indeed for that to work.

The code is not available on such platforms.

Ah okay, thank you for your response!

Would you be able to provide a rough ETA on if this work would be prioritized and how soon it could be expected to be live? This will help me decide if I need to move away from my XF Cloud solution to something self-hosted. I didn't realize I would run into an issue like this so it would be helpful to have some sort of indication so I know what to do on my end!

Thanks!

I was able to update Core successfully but am having trouble with the PayPal integration. It requests an API username and password but only a client id and secret can be created which I've attempted several times copy-pasting into username and password, respectively, without success. Is this utilizing some old form of API or is the wording just different? I tried this both in sandbox and live.

So I checked it out and it's not entirely clear how I'm supposed to extract the username and password from the client id and secret. I'm not certain there's a solution here unless I'm misinterpreting the PayPal Developer portal in Apps & Credentials.

Can you please be more precise, where did you get stuck from the documentation ?
